As a local food partnership, we are working across the county to provide the momentum that will help make Bucks a Sustainable Food Place where everyone can enjoy food that is sustainable, accessible, healthy, tasty, culturally appropriate and good for nature and the environment.
From promoting community cooking classes, supporting local farm shops or reducing household food waste, we can work together to champion local action to create better food system in Bucks. Bucks FP is founded upon three pillars of sustainability focussing on:
Shorten local supply chain to affordable quality food, whilst supporting local food business and farming sector.
Reducing food waste in households and businesses, championing composting schemes; whilst highlighting the negative carbon emissions and food miles found within aspects of the local food sectorlocally and how we can make a change.
Fostering good food citizenship through community food growing, access to fresh and healthy food, food redistribution schemes and changing our habits and behaviours. Joining together to take action.
