What we do?

The Buckinghamshire Food Partnership brings together communities, businesses, charities and local authorities to realise a more sustainable and just local food system for Buckinghamshire. We believe that all people in Buckinghamshire should have access to healthy, affordable, sustainably produced and culturally appropriate food.

We understand that the food system is both complex and interconnected. By working in partnership, it is easier to navigate this complexity and effect meaningful change. We therefore convene, support and facilitate local groups to test collaborative initiatives and forge new ways of working.

Our current projects

Our Action Groups focus on key themes and areas of importance and need across the county to create opportunities to cooperate and progress targeted action.

For the Bucks Food Partnership we champion many local charities and schemes to support those needing extra support with accessing food. During the Covid 19 pandemic, we were able to be instrumental in the coordination and realisation of emergency food groups. Helping support both individuals and families; as well as foodbanks, delivery and collection schemes and hot meals. Should you need advice or provisions check out our Emergency Food Contacts Link to Emergency Food providers page We are also committed to working with Buckinghamshire Council through our Food for All action group.

As a county Buckinghamshire is diverse both geographically and demographically. Through linking into local partnerships we can be at our strongest; which is why we hold regular Local Food Group meetings focusing on certain areas to generate local action and collaboration.

Our coordinators aim to be present at a wide range of community led groups, from Community Board sub groups, Environmental and Climate Action meetings; to schools and community events. Should you like to have a presentation or school assembly or have another inquiry please get in touch.
